TAN SON NHAT AIRPORT BUS – A SMART SOLUTION FOR A SMART CITY

Tan Son Nhat International Airport (TIA) is one of the largest airports in Vietnam, an important transport hub of Southern Vietnam. Peak times of a day, of a year, TIA regularly operates in overload. In addition, the increasing of private vehicles moving into the airport causes heavy traffic, affects service quality and image of TIA. Therefore, beside the solutions to improve passenger service quality and ensure a well operation of TIA, Southern Airport Transportation JSC (SATSCO) has collaborated with Transport Department to operate the Ho Chi Minh airport bus service. This is considered as a smart solution to reduce the amount of private vehicles and provide a better transportation service for citizens and foreign visitors as well as contribute to improvement of the tourism image in Vietnam.

The Tan Son Nhat airport bus routes of SATSCO are eye-catching yellow, imported from Korea with the international public transportation standards: non-slip floor, wide door, security camera…Besides, experienced and enthusiastic staff is able to communicate in English will satisfy passengers.

From March 16th 2016, there have been 3 airport bus routes of SATSCO:

• Airport Bus no.109 (Tan Son Nhat Airport – City Center): a high quality, modern design with carrying capacity of 70 passengers, the Euro II emission standard. This bus route passes by famous landmarks: Vinh Nghiem Pagoda, Independence Palace, Notre-Dame Saigon, Ben Thanh Market…

• Airport Shuttle Bus no.49 (Tan Son Nhat International Airport – City Center): a high quality, modern design with carrying capacity of 29 passengers, the Euro III emission standard. This bus route goes directly to your hotel (district 3, district 1).

• Airport Bus no.119 (Tan Son Nhat Airport – Western Bus Station): carrying capacity is 60 passengers, the Euro III emission standard.

• Airport Bus no.159 (Mien Dong Bus Station – Tan Son Nhat Airport – An Suong Bus Station): carrying capacity is 60 passengers, the Euro III emission standard.
